1. A fairytale of Bruges
The ultimate festive city, blast your all your senses with Christmas-ness!
2. Bristol in the snow.
Ok I admit, it doesn’t always look like this, but it is a beautiful city. Wander around Clifton village for Christmassy, twinkly lights and tons of atmosphere.
3. Christmas in the Desert, Dune 45, Namibia.
The least Christmassy place on Earth, but one of the most spectacular sights you will ever see. Bring your festive spirit if you’re here in December.
4. Cape Town Christmas, South Africa.
Hailing from Britain, I am averse to hot, sunny Christmases – there’s something very wrong about seeing snowmen figurines and Santa dressed for the arctic when you’re in shorts and t-shirts. But I won’t complain too much about combining two of my favourite things – Christmas and sunshine, making Cape Town a great destination for both.
Ohhhh just looking at this scene makes me burst with Yuletide jollity, merriment and Christmassy anticipation. Alpine resorts ooze festive festive charm all winter long, but suck up the best of it and go before the 25th December.
